Benchmark Transitions® Launches Young Adult Detoxification Services

Benchmark Transitions now offers licensed residential medically supervised detoxification services for young adults suffering from chemical substance abuse.  Common substance abuse detoxification includes:

  • Alcohol
  • Amphetamines
  • Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Librium, Ambien, etc.)
  • Cocaine
  • Heroin
  • Methamphetamines
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Painkillers
  • Opiates (OxyContin, Vicodin, Fentanyl, Norco, Opana, etc.)
  • Methadone / Suboxone

Detoxing with Benchmark is more comfortable in our home-like and peer group supportive living environment with trained and experienced staff.  Our concurrent case management and therapy significantly reduces the chance of relapse.  Each client receives a customized detoxification plan that may include:

  • Full Health and Medical Assessment
  • Individual Detox Planning
  • Individual Case Management and Counseling
  • 24-hour monitoring
  • Group Therapy, Counseling and Education
  • Healthy meals and meal planning
  • Routine drug screening via urinalysis and alcohol swabbing
  • Outpatient therapy at Benchmark’s Education & Life Skills Center
  • State of CA Certified Substance Abuse Counselors

Detoxification varies on a case by case basis. Our addictions medicine physician and trained staff will monitor young adult clients throughout the detoxification process.  A Benchmark Transitions addictions specialist physician will monitor the client and may prescribe medication to help the client cope with withdrawal symptoms.

Benchmark Transitions® is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to residential transitional living for young adult men and women. Programs are individualized to meet each client’s unique needs, offering a full continuum of care including Detox, Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Transitional Living and Extended Care options. Length of stay can vary from 30 days to 2 years, depending upon individual needs.

Benchmark is licensed for residential detoxification via the State of California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS.)
